The passionate work we do is the reason I stand firm on the Biblical principals expressed in Ephesians 6:12: For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.
‘I am, because we are.’ This old axiom is a guiding principal in my modus operandi. Humans cannot function without society; therefore it is a must in my eyes to improve the community in which we live.
Faith in Action puts me in relationship with people of different faiths as we come together to improve life in our community. We do research and take action to eliminate suffering, especially for those in the greatest need.

Today, we had Roman Catholics, Protestant, Islamic and Jewish Clergy come together to begin the steps of implementing faith based community organizing as a vehicle for positive community change to the suffering and pain of our congregations and families.
In preparation of Pope Francis’s visit to the U.S. this September, leaders from different parishes through out Kern County gathered to not only celebrate his arrival to the U.S. but hear more about his message of encounter.
